About Us

FicaraCo

We build things that outlast the job.

Gear that gets carried every day — designed, prototyped and manufactured in house.

Badge holders for the people issued a hard token every morning. Family cards that can actually be verified. Both built to one standard.

Make it last

An indestructible product is, admittedly, a mediocre business model — you cannot sell somebody a second badge holder when the first one refuses to break. We make them anyway, and we back it: if yours breaks, we replace it at no charge. We would rather be the company you buy from once and recommend, than the one you reorder from every spring.

Two product lines, very different customers

On paper our customers have almost nothing in common. What they share is that the thing they carry has to still work in three years — and that most of what is available to them does not.

Government agencies

Badge and hard token in one piece of hardware, issued at scale.

Banks & security firms

Holders that survive daily handling and look right on a lanyard.

Technology companies

YubiKey and RSA rollouts, where the key has to stay put.

Police & fire unions

Verifiable family cards, administered per department.

Badge Holders

Nearly indestructible, and we mean it

Hard tokens went from a niche to a requirement. Organizations hand people an ID badge plus an RSA token, or a YubiKey, or both — then leave them to work out how to carry it. The usual answer is three things clipped to three points, one of which cracked the first time it hit a desk.

  • Flexible TPU, not brittle plastic. It absorbs a drop instead of transmitting it. Nothing to shatter.
  • One to five token bays, because almost nobody carries exactly one.
  • Injection molded and 3D printed — the process suits the run, the design stays the same.
  • Laser etched with your seal or logo for agency rollouts.

Valor Cards™

Family cards that can actually be verified

Family member cards have been around forever, and the reputation has suffered for just as long. Cards get handed around. “It’s my uncle” gets stretched a long way. A card meant to stand for something ends up meaning whatever the person holding it says it means.

  • Every card carries a unique ID and a QR code tied to our verification portal.
  • Scan it and the portal answers with the cardholder’s name and status — valid, expired, or not recognized. No judgment call.
  • The issuing officer is notified by email and text the moment it is scanned. In an emergency, that is a head start.
  • Thick anodized aluminum, etched with a Class IV laser, in annual and lifetime tiers.

Custom work is the fun part

The catalog is just the part of our work that got repeated. Most of it started as one customer’s problem.

Aluminum Miranda cards in English and Spanish, because reading rights off a phone looks bad. Double-window leather wallets sized for a Valor Card next to a license and registration. Badge holders shaped around a token exactly one organization issues. None of it was on a roadmap — somebody asked, and it turned out plenty of other people wanted the same thing.

We would rather build one good thing for one customer than a thousand mediocre ones for nobody in particular.

Carrying something held together with tape?

If you are working around equipment that was never designed for the job, tell us about it. Small runs are welcome — that is usually how the next product starts.
