If you haven’t used them before

What a comb riser actually does

The comb is the top edge of the stock — the part your cheek rests on. Where your cheek sits decides where your eye sits, and where your eye sits decides where the gun shoots. Too low and you bury the target behind the rib. Too high and you float over the top of it.

An adjustable comb rides on two posts. Risers are simply spacers that slip over those posts and hold the comb higher by a known amount. Set them once, write the number down, and you can rebuild that exact position in about fifteen seconds — after a trip, after a loaner, after somebody else shot your gun.

Always a matched pair. One on each post, same size, or the comb sits crooked.
Polymer against your hardware. No metal-on-metal, no marring, and quiet.
Repeatable, not guesswork. A number you can write in a notebook and hit again.

Fitting them takes about a minute

No gunsmith, no permanent change to the stock, and nothing you can’t undo.

Back the comb off

Loosen the comb hardware and lift the comb clear of the stock.

Slide on a matched pair

The same size riser onto each post. Stack sizes to reach a height between steps.

Reseat and snug down

Drop the comb back on and tighten the hardware to where it was.

Pattern it and write it down

Adjust up or down a size until the pattern lands where you look, then note the combination.

Before you order

Measure your posts — these are cut for a 1/2" (0.500") post and your stock has to accept spacers in the first place. Risers only; firearm, stock and comb hardware are not included.

Everything on this page started as somebody’s problem. We design the part, print it, etch it, and use it long enough to find out what’s wrong with it before it goes on the site.

Modeled here, printed here, revised here. Engineering polymers chosen for the job — PETG where it takes impact and heat, flexible TPU where it has to absorb a drop.

Laser etched, not labeled

Markings go into the material with a Class IV laser, so they survive a range bag, a duty belt, and a decade. Nothing to peel, smear or fade.

Scales up when it proves out

A part that earns its keep moves to injection molding for volume — which is exactly how our badge holders got there.
